Nov 15th, 2012 | By Ivan Lindsay | Category: JournalDasha Zhukova, the glamorous girlfriend of Roman Abramovich and leading Contemporary Art Collector and Curator is moving her Garage Center for Contemporary Art in Moscow from the converted bus terminal designed by constructivist architect Konstantin Melnikov to a former restaurant in Gorky Park. The transformation of the restaurant into an art gallery has been entrusted to Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas.
Zhukova, 31, also has big plans for St Petersburg where she and Abramovich are transforming New Holland, a 19 acre island and former naval yard in the heart of the city, into a creative hub.
